Creating Products on Kajabi

Ready to turn your ideas into digital products and services? Let's dive into the process of creating products on Kajabi, step by step.

1. Settings: Before you start creating your products, it's essential to configure your Site Details Settings to set up the basic information for your site. This includes branding elements such as colors and your instructor information. Completing the Instructor section will generate your Instructor information across all the Course Products you create. To access your Instructor settings:
   1. Open the Settings tab from the Dashboard.
   2. Click Site Details.
   3. Navigate down to the Instructor text box and complete the field. 
   4. Click Save to keep your changes.
2. Create your Product: Once your settings are configured, it's time to create your product. Opening the Products tab will bring you to the Product Dashboard, where you can easily access and edit existing products or create new ones. To create a new product:
   1. Open the Products tab from the Dashboard.
   2. Navigate to the top right corner.
   3. Click + New Product. 
   4. Select your desired type of Product (Course, Podcast, Community, or Coaching) and click Get Started. 

Course Lessons and Modules:

The content in your Course Product is organized into Modules and Lessons.

• A Module serves as an organizational tool to collect Lessons under a similar heading, much like a topic or a chapter of a book.
• You can also provide live video sessions, test your Course customers' knowledge by adding Quizzes, and recognize their mastery of your Course material with a Certificate of Completion.

Course Product Delivery Settings:

Specific Course product delivery settings will determine how and when your customers access your content.

• Draft and Published statuses allow you to adjust the visibility of specific Lessons, Modules, or Quizzes.
• Lock requires customers to complete a specific Lesson or Quiz before moving on to the next Module.
• Drip releases content over time based on the specified number of days from your customer's original access date.

Edit your Course Lesson:

• Upload media content such as video, audio, or assessments to your Course Lessons. Each Lesson can contain either a Video, an Audio clip, or an Assessment. To include additional media in your Course Products, create a new Lesson.

Automations:

Automations are powerful tools to streamline and automate your business. They work with "When" triggers and "Then" Actions.

• For example, after a Lesson or Quiz is completed (the "When" trigger), you can implement actions such as granting an offer, subscribing to an email sequence, or sending a single-use coupon.

2. Design your Course template: To customize your Course template, follow these steps:
   1. Open the Products tab from the Dashboard.
   2. Select the Course Product you wish to design.
   3. Click Customize.
   4. Then, click Install Template. 
   5. Select your desired template from the options provided. 
   6. Click Install Template.
   7. Click Customize to open your newly installed template.
3. Customize your template: Once you've installed your chosen template, you can customize it to suit your preferences and brand identity. Click into each section to modify the design elements such as colors, fonts, images, and layout. Make sure to align the design with your branding guidelines and the overall aesthetic of your online business.
4. Activate your template: After you've completed the design customization, it's time to activate your template. Click the three-dot menu on your new template and select Activate. This step ensures that your designed template replaces the default template for your Course Product. 

Congratulations! You've successfully designed your Course Product on Kajabi, giving it a professional and personalized look that resonates with your audience.

Managing Your Course Products

Once you've created and designed your Course Product, it's essential to manage it effectively to ensure a smooth and engaging learning experience for your students. Let's explore how you can manage your Course Products on Kajabi.

Course Product Management: To manage your Course Product, navigate to the Products tab from the Dashboard and select the Course Product you want to manage. Here are some key management tasks you can perform:

• Edit Course Settings: Customize high-level details such as the Title, Description, and Course Thumbnail to accurately represent your Course. Additionally, enable Live Rooms to conduct live video sessions for your Course, fostering real-time interaction with your students.
• More Actions:
  • Manage Announcements: Keep your students informed about course updates, events, or important announcements.
  • Manage Comments: Monitor and engage with student comments to foster community engagement and address any queries or concerns.
  • View Progress of your Customers: Track your students' progress through the course to identify areas for improvement or additional support.
  • Duplicate the Product: Quickly create copies of your Course Product to offer variations or repurpose existing content.
  • Delete the Product: Remove the Course Product from your account if it's no longer relevant or needed.
